Kenneth S. Katz

Kenneth Katz is recognized as one of Houston's most professional and knowledgeable retail brokers, known for his attention to detail and his investment in creating value for clients. He specializes in tenant representation and asset management, and has initiated site selection and expansion strategies for numerous regional and national retailers, including Starbucks Coffee, Best Buy, OfficeMax, Citibank, FedEx Office, Party City and Sprint, just to name a few.

In addition to tenant representation, Kenneth has been particularly active in the area of shopping center acquisitions and asset management. He represents private investors through the management of a discretionary investment fund and its related assets.

In addition to his work duties, Kenneth enjoys playing an active role in the retail real estate industry and his community. He is a member of both the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Certified Commercial Investment Institute, and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Emery Weiner School and The Jewish Community Center. Kenneth is also a founding board member and advisory board member of KIPP Academy and is a member of the Houston AIPAC Council.

Prior to forming Baker Katz in 2004, Kenneth was a principal and top producer at Wulfe & Co., a retail real estate consulting and development firm, where he met his partner, Jason Baker, in 1995. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Washington University in 1995 with a dual degree in Finance and Management.

Firmly committed to demonstrating the values of integrity, honesty, and hard work, Kenneth is known by individuals both in and out of the work place as someone who genuinely cares about people. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that spending time with his wife Dana and three children, David, Carly and Annie, is his favorite pastime.
